'London, the seat of the British Commonwealth, is one stop on TWA's worldwide routes. The mighty Tower of London, as seen through the Tower Bridge, dominates the skyline. Today this great fortress is the home of the famous Beefeaters, cermonial guardians of the Tower and the sovereign, and the Crown Jewels. The Tower, which at one time commanded the river approaches to London, was built by William the Conqueror nearly 900 years ago. Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major American airline that existed from 1930 until 2001. It was formed as Transcontinental & Western Air and along with American, United and Eastern, it was one of the "Big Four" domestic airlines in the United States.
