It is now the fifth tallest building in Chicago and is now known simply as 875 North Michigan Avenue.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe image was commissioned to celebrate the airline’s sponsorship of the Taste of Chicago promotion, with food on board designed by local restaurants.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePassenger response was so positive that the food from many Windy City restaurants was served on domestic flights to and from Chicago and 46 US cities over several years of airline sponsorship.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnited Airlines was founded in 1926 as Varney Airlines and became the world’s third largest airline after a merger with continental Airlines in 2010.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnited was the last of all legacy airlines to operate its own kitchens until 2021.
