The Scene was a hangout for students from the campus of the University of Kentucky, who obviously considered themselves super-groovy. In the interior menu, there's another comical portrait of a Beatnik type wearing sunglasses and winkle pickers alongside a hippie girlfriend. There's interesting stuff on the menu too, including a Coffee Cooler Cocktail that was made by mixing espresso and ginger ale.
