It was owned by British restaurant, food manufacturing and hotel conglomerate J. Lyons \u0026amp; Co. who were trying out a new style of cafe\/restaurants.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA few more were opened in central London but ultimately the Cup \u0026amp; Platter concept was not a successful venture. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJ.
